The Court Youth Center’s (CYC) philosophy of arts-integration and positive youth development provides students the opportunity to extend creative learning and boost achievement in a safe, drugfree environment.

CYC offers programs both in-school and after school throughout the year in partnership with the Alma d’arte Charter High School that is housed at CYC and the Gadsden School District’s Middle School. All program activities weave positive youth development into an arts-integrated, career-focused curriculum that incorporates hands on meaningful applications of literacy, visual, performing, and culinary arts.

The program educates AmeriCorps Member Artists in the practice of arts integration to instruct middle and high school age youth in a number of arts endeavors throughout the year in after-school and in-school programs.
