The mission of the CARAS AmeriCorps Program is to increase academic success among children and youth placed at risk, through a holistic approach providing tutoring, guidance, and other social services.

AmeriCorps members provide school support and social services in high priority schools of the Las Cruces Public Schools. Members also provide safe after-school programs in at-risk neighborhoods.

Currently serving the communities of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County, New Mexico.
