The AmeriCorps program has enriched the lives of scores of New Mexico volunteers, and they will now have a way to stay in touch and continue to promote giving even after their terms have ended.  The Third Annual New Mexico AmeriCorps alumni event will take place April, 2012.

The reception will take place just after the Annual Spotlight on Volunteerism Conference. Special guests are expected to take part, and organizers are planning for this annual gathering of AmeriCorps alumni.

The conference provides an opportunity for over 450 service and community organizations, individuals, students and faculty to come together to learn how to more fully engage communities in service and volunteerism. Presenters at the conference will be providing a wide-range of workshops including best practices in volunteer management, engaging youth in volunteerism, skill-based volunteerism, and much more. The conference culminates with Governor Awards highlighting the extraordinary contributions of volunteers from across the state.
