The New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps Commission (Commission) requests proposals from local units of government, state agencies, federal agencies, non-profit organizations, (those exempt from federal income tax as described in Section 501 (c) of the United States Internal Revenue Code), or federally-recognized Native American tribes to sponsor projects authorized by the New Mexico Youth Conservation Corps Act, NMSA 1978, §§ 9-5B-1 through 9-5B-11. The Commission has approximately $3.9 million to distribute among all approved projects and plans to enter into multiple contracts as a result of this Request for Proposals (RFP).

Successful Applicants may be required to obtain signatures from partners or property owners. Potential Applicants should NOT WAIT TO THE LAST MINUTE to complete their web-based electronic Application, or they may be unable to obtain the required partner or property-owner signatures by the August 4, 2011 application deadline.
